The St. Francis Catholic High School (SFCHS) project began with master planning in 1999, and the new campus opened for the first classes in the fall of 2004. BCI provided the initial property rezoning, including the Planned Development Zoning Master Plan in 2002, through the Alachua County Planning & Zoning Process. BCI assisted the Diocese and the project architect with planning, engineering review and construction services for the first phase of construction. In 2006, BCI permitted the second phase of construction, a 10,000 SF classroom addition with a budget of $1,300,000. From 2007-2009, BCI has designed and permitted multiple projects for SFCHS including a major “Infrastructure Improvements” project that was completed in 2009. This $850,000.00 project included a 250 space parking lot addition, utility improvements, and a new track, softball field, and several other recreational facility improvements. BCI provided permitting services with various regulatory agencies including; Alachua County, Suwannee River Water Management District, Gainesville Regional Utility, and FDEP.
