Belmont

The Belmont residential development is located along scenic CR 241 (NW 143rd Street) in western Alachua County. The project was developed in 3 design and construction phases, and Brown & Cullen provided master planning, civil engineering design and permitting, and construction services for each phase of the project. Belmont was developed on a 70.5 acre tract in three phases as a Residential Cluster Development. The community includes 191 single-family homesites, 5 landscaped retention areas, a walking trail, and a recreational complex, which includes a pavilion with swimming facilities, tennis courts, basketball courts, playground, and a unique dog park. The project design included roadway widening improvements within NW 143rd Street, and a several mile-long offsite wastewater force main improvement, designed to serve both Belmont and the adjacent Turnberry development. Project permitting agencies included Alachua County, Gainesville Regional Utilities, FDEP, and the Suwannee River Water Management District.
