NE 3rd Street Streetscape

NE 3rd Street, located in downtown Gainesville, was one of several downtown traffic corridors revitalized in 2003. This urban redevelopment project by the City of Gainesville, inspired by the Commerce Building project, allowed for the design and reconstruction of four roadway segments within the area of the project. NE 3rd Street was revitalized as part of this effort. Brown & Cullen provided civil engineering design services, coordination of the landscape design, bidding, and construction management. Recognized as a quality streetscape project, the reconstruction of the right-of-way included stormwater improvements, sidewalk and crosswalk enhancements, on-street parking, pedestrian scale lighting, and landscaped medians.
